The report brings to notice the survery of the Mutlahs, inquires into the state of the River Hooghly, ship burning, the Oriental and Peninsular Company's acts and the completion of the Customs House Ghat. Correspondences occupy much of the report. The clearance and delivery of opium, the state of the Sunderban rivers, the Marine Bills, export duties and Dak routes are the main topics of correspondence. The commencement of work on the BCCI library is noted.
