Description : The report addresses the Budget, gold currency, stamp duty on marine policies, marine trading, the New Zealand Industrial exhibition, the system of counting overland mails, transmission of Southampton mails via Bombay, the Mutlah railways, communication between Burmah and the Western Provinces of China, financial reports of the Chamber, including stampt duty and income tax receipts. It includes the report of the committee appointed to enquire into the best means for preventing fire among the shipping. It also includes a list of the new members inducted into the Chamber.
