Description : The report records the proceedings of the general meeting held on 3rd December 1864. It discusses export duty on saltpetre, stamps on bills of sale for transfer of ship property in Calcutta, the Mutlah, the careless manner in which goods are handled by coolies, the wet docks, the river trust, in addition to the usual topics. It proposes an additional mail service between Calcutta, Burmah and the Straits. It contains the publication of the Statement of government paper enfaced for payment of interest.
