The Marine section contains: facilities for the shipment of coal, control of bulk-oil vessels, loading of coal at Kidderpore dock, inspection and disinfection of ships, looting of SS, 'City of Venice', administration of Calcutta Port Trust, carriage of Kerosene oil in Native passenger ships, medical inspection of vessels on Holidays, handling of Boats and barges, refund of general average deposits, Australian Postal and Telegraphic bill. The Municipal section contains : Report on the condition of the streets, The Carter's Stirke. The Telegraphs section enlists : Indo-European telegraph charges, censorship of telegram, telegraphic communication with Andaman and Nicobar. The Financial section includes : Movement of Gold by Parcel post between India and United Kingdom, government securities, supply bills of telegraphic transfers, the special gold reserve.
